If you go to the wiki main page, you will find easily what are the differing tier of developers making up the project. One questionable group are the forum admins which includes super moderators, moderators and forum topic mods as we call the moderators. Yes, all belong in the tier 5 categroy of developer since they all perform to maintain the community including all other tier levels of developers involved in the project. Often taken for granted and passed up to the other tier developers such as Coders, Modelers, Sound, Graphics people and other group, the mods are the glue holding an entire community together. Without them, no forums no sites to make this happen, at least not in the respect it is. So without tooting my own bullhorn too loudly, the Tier 5 Mods are nearly as important as the other groups, but with a different way of contributing to the games and erhemmmm, CAD's development.
The Mods provide the breathing space especially for the Tier 2 level developers to make very accurate models for the game. Coders are sort of off on their own. So in a sense the Tier 5 developers allow the other tier developers to come together and then hold them together in most cases, and in the end the final tier on the rung gets the game. It is a win-win strategy for everyone and in the end we all win, thanks to one of the quietest group of developers on the project next to the Tier one of course, coders.
