| Welcome to the official TPB3D forums. The best way to use these is to get involved. If you want to help great, but please don't post to boost your post count. Instead post ideas that are new and contribute to a better end product. Here is a kind of get acquainted F.A.Q. for these forums though bear in mind that the forums are constantly changing. Below the main logo at the top of every page are several options. These are a handy Search feature, the Member List, Link to our official wikipedia, a up to date calendar of events, link to IRC chatroom, the rules as we think those are very important, the downloads section, and of course a help section too. The forums have several sections. The first is the section you are reading this in, the newbie section or get acquainted section. The next section is the basic park section for general stuff. This is called simply "The Park Program" and it has the very basic essentials. Next are the "Forum Chatrooms". These are server based and while they are live they are different than the irc live chatrooms off the button below the main logo. For deeper participation in the game project there is a more involvement section we call "The Pavilion". Here you can post wants, needs in the game and participate in mostly non-technical discussions to make TPB3D a better product for everybody. The "Park Program" involves the many technical folks such as game coders and 3D modelers who are contributing to the overall project. Some areas of this part of the forums can only be accessed by the developers themselves. "Coder's Corner" honors the four original coders who were brave enough to sign on to developing the code for this project. Each has their own podium from which to post their topics. The "Park Maintenance" section is for the Alpha/Beta testers and also support as the game becomes available to its userbase. "TPB3D" community allows the forums here to interconnect with other sites supporting the gaming effort. Since this game is a product by the community, we want everyone participating and all resources to be included. Some things that will help you. The downloads section under the main logo contains files including the updated Game Design Document. You should check it regularly as items will be posted there for upload and download. The Park News usually has updated news of changes to the forums and also events within the community. The Forum Chatroom may have an occasional visitor and you should pop by for a few moments every now and than to see if your friends are there. Aside from this, most of the forums are open to registered users to make use of and help in the community effort. That aside, that's about all there is to need to know, except for one thing. have fun and most of all be courteous to others here. This is for all of us and by all of us and that kindness really will go a long way. |
